How to Compare Decimals:
  1. Line up the decimal points vertically.
  2. Add trailing zeros so both numbers have the same number of digits (e.g., compare $0.400$ and $0.405$).
  3. Compare digits from left to right starting with the highest place value:
    • Compare Whole Numbers $\rightarrow$ Tenths $\rightarrow$ Hundredths $\rightarrow$ Thousandths.
    • The first place where digits differ tells you which number is larger!
